Ontario PCs Investing in Infrastructure to Build Stronger Communities and Lower Housing Costs

Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are investing a historic $236 billion in the infrastructure communities need to grow, build more homes and lower costs for families. This unprecedented support means more good-paying jobs, stronger communities and a better future for people across Ontario.

We’re continuing to invest in the arenas, community centres, pools and recreation facilities that bring people together. Earlier this year, our government increased the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund to $500 million through the 2026 budget, the largest investment of its kind in Ontario’s history. Nearly 100 projects are already moving forward across Ontario, creating good-paying jobs and building stronger communities.

Our PC team is also helping municipalities build the roads, bridges, water systems and other infrastructure needed to unlock more housing. Through our $8.8 billion partnership with the federal government and Ontario’s $4 billion Municipal Housing Infrastructure Program, we’re getting more shovels in the ground and helping communities prepare for growth.

At the same time, we’re making it more affordable to buy a home. By cutting the HST on new homes and reducing development charges, Doug Ford and our PC team are helping families save up to $200,000 on the cost of a new home. Our plan is working: new home sales are up 130 per cent compared to last year.

Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are building stronger communities, lowering housing costs and protecting Ontario.
